VR Room: Ching Shih's Cabin

Ching Shih's captain's cabin is a collaborative project involving our whole 3DCG class along with a few programming students.

The gist was to create a VR experience for an escape room game our college had launched as a research program. Not entirely sure what on, but it's assumed that the project was to gauge how merging two courses to work on one project would go.

Modelled in Maya; textured in Substance Designer and Painter; level build in Unreal Engine 4.

Jewelry box's first iteration. We found the mesh to be too high poly and so simplified it to the version below. Why not use normals? They were found to not translate well in VR.
